Top Spring Fashion buys from Etsy
- Robin's egg dress by SarahSeven- Appropriately named for the Easter season; this dress is made from a really gorgeous shade of silk.
- Dahlia dress by MissBrache-Fantastic pink and black polka-dot 50s style number. The great thing about Etsy is that most pieces are made to order, so if you send your exact measurements, it'll fit like a glove.
- Icarus high-waisted trousers by Lydialark- my favourite trend of recent seasons, the high waist is going nowhere fast. These are super high and super sexy
- High Rise panties by Twinsyndrome: These are almost too cool to keep under wraps-if you've got the body where them out (maybe when it warms up a bit..)
- Dottie jumper from FablesbyBarrie- If I could get away with a playsuit, this would be it.IF.
- High waisted halter neck dress by Venni Caprice
- Tuxedo Bikini by Stepankalicious- again, made to order so none of the normal misfitting swimwear nightmares.

Easter egg wishlist
I keep seeing those Cadbury's Creme egg adverts everywhere, encouraging people to stuff themselves silly as they claim that chocolate egg eating season officially ends on 12th April; surely this is all wrong? Egg eating should start on the 12th!Otherwise what about the people who gave up chocolate for lent? And do they expect you to eat all your eggs in one day?Unwise advise I think, although of course I don't deny maybe having indulged in such gluttony once or twice myself. But when I was a little and still had some will power, I would hoard my eggs and sometimes still had one or two left by my birthday in May.This ridiculous advertising campaign, combined with my recent discovery of what they actually put in the stuff to make the yolk that yellow (you really don't want to know)has completely put me off the classic CCE, and instead I have been researching other options. Some of these eggs are a bit on the pricey side, but at least you can count on them being made from real life, natural stuff and thanks to the recession, only being able to afford one is great for the waistline.
- Fortnum and Mason eggs in exclusive Rob Ryan packaging- normally the packaging on Easter eggs in such a waste, but these gorgeous boxes crafted by artist Rob Ryan are worth saving forever. Rob is about to set up a po-up store in New York, so soon both sides of the Atlantic will be lusting after his fairytale like scenes of cut out characters. Eggs come filled with gorgeous stuff like rose and violet creams, or Marc de Champagne truffles. Follow Rob Ryan's artistic shennanigans here.
- Candyhouse Blue Butterfly Porcelain Egg, at Liberty: another packaging triumph
- Hotel Chocolat original extra thick Easter eggs- look how thick they are!wow! One could quite easily last you til May
- Rococo's praline quail eggs- Almost too pretty to eat.
- Madame Oiseau Fine Chocolates at Notonthehighstreet.com: A site that does what it says; Notonthehighstreet brings you the best in anti-mainstream, non-mass-produced retail.

Nesting time
I don't know whether its the time of year, but I've recently succumbed to the nesting bug. I've just started working for the vintagesecret website, and the lady who runs it has the most amazing collection of vintage crockery and tea sets that I've been eyeing up very enviously. In my hurry to find something to serve cupcakes on, I also dropped one of my favourite plates the other night and as a result of all these things, I have been dreaming of teapots, sugar bowls and milk jugs.
Here are my top choices:
Ants on your teacups never looked so cute
Esther Coombs:Who can resist a plate permanently bearing bourbons and custard creams?
Trixiedelicious : reworked vintage china including sets of the seven heavenly virtues and the seven deadly sins. Almost cool enough to bring back hanging your plates on the wall.Almost.

My Spring jewellery wishlist
- Stephanie Simek's gold lined quail egg necklace: perfect for Easter time, and a lot less fattening than the chocolate kind. See other beautiful jewellery by Stephanie, including eyelash necklaces, on her website
- Mamaslittlebabies- one of my favourite Etsy finds, this seller's butterfly necklace is beautiful; check out the Etsy store for quirkier treats like tattooed men and women circus pendants.
- Bjorg jewellery- all Alice in Wonderland and Tim Burton-esque stuff, see their gorgeous promotional mini-film at their site: www.bjorgjewellery.com
- OctopusMe- another Etsy gem, I LOVE these slightly creepy tentacular delights
- Erin Wasson's jewellery line Low Luv is unbelievably cool but also unbelievably expensive-rather than fork out over $1000 for one of her chain halter necklaces, bag one for a lot less at Blisslau.
- Buddug- gorgeous trinketty pieces made from tiny teacups, vintage photos, feathers and other lovely stuff.
- Comfort Station- loving the website

Hot Bunnies..
Cadbury's Caramel bunny has returned just in time for Easter, oozing more sweet sex appeal than ever. She's apparently now curvier and wears more make up-she is getting on a bit I suppose. Wonder if they'll be bringing back the sexy fruit and nut bar lady that used to sing into the bloke's pencil.
Some other hot bunnies:
- Jessica Rabbit- obviously not a real rabbit, but married to one.
- The Duracell Bunny- he just keeps on going. Exactly what you need in a ma.., er I mean rabbit.
- The 'Rabbit'- I won't go into this, but obviously its the one thats generally used with bunny no 2.
