Music festivals are so last year; Literary festivals are the new cool. Choose from:
- 24th-26th July: Port Eliot Literature Festival- described as the Glastonbury of book fests, this is one of the oldest and the best.Camping in the grounds of a Cornish castle, with amazing acts and guests including Gavin Turk's House of Fairytales (whether his own festival will come off this year, who knows-last year it was cancelled at the last minute, check here for updates: www.houseoffairytales.org)
- 21st-31st May: Hay Literature festival: sponsored by The Guardian, this has become the Daddy of literary events, launching the festival season
- 7th-25th March: London Word Festival- happening now, right here in London town!
- 29th March-5th April: The Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival- great speakers including Philip Pullman who'll be talking about the new Dark Materials book...
